The first Transit left the Ford production line in Langley England on August 9th 1965 and since then almost eight million Transit models have been built.
Here at Lillis O'Donnell Ford we have commisioned our very own '50 Years Of Transit' model in metallic gold as a celebration to this iconic model.
Lined up end-to-end, 50 years of Transits would circle the globe, and on average a new Transit has been bought by a customer every 180 seconds during its lifetime.
